This is a lovely “no lead breaking” innovative mechanical pencil by Pentel. The “guide pipe” protects the lead while you are using the pencil - preventing any lead breakage. Made in Japan and Special Limited Design.

Instructions for Use

• Before writing, click the end cap until the lead shows from the guide pipe.

• Press the end cap down with your finger, and at the same time gently touch the lead to the surface of the paper until the protruding lead is no longer visible. Now you can start writing.

• The guide pipe protects the lead and prevents it from breaking.The edge of the guide pipe is rounded to provide smooth writing without scratching the paper. As the lead gradually shortens, the guide pipe automatically slides back with the lead. There is no need to advance the lead again.

• When storing your pencil - please make sure that you click the guide pipe back into the pencil before putting away for the day.
